Tin Champion( something I have been working on)

Tin- a silvery malleable metallic element that resists corrosion; used in many alloys and to coat other metals to prevent corrosion;
Champion- someone who fights for a cause
Tin Champion- one who fights. Cannot win, but fights and survives. Alone... Cause can be dying unnecessary
Tin champions: We fight. We win the long term battles because we outlast all the rest once they have, lost interest, moved on or passed on, we claim our prizes. The problem with that is, sometimes you realize at the end of it all. What you were fighting for isn't worth it anymore, it doesn't measure up to all you have lost thus far. But we are tin champions, we can't win any other way. We aren't good enough for short term conquests. We bend to your will and bow to silver, platinum and gold. All we have are golden skies as we look up from our lost worlds. Bittersweet goodbyes. because the next hello will be bitter for us knowing that we are the next resort, not the first. We aren't mad at the world though. We are mad at ourselves. We somehow managed to mess up everything before starting anything. We spent most of our lives asleep because the best places we have been to and the best relationships we have had, were imaginary.
She said: I like him right now, I love you but the timing is off and I'm with him.
5 years later He said: I've been a mess since you left me. I just know it won't work out so I tried to be positive about it... I'm lost now... but maybe my words will save me, I used to live on the fact that you said one day we could be together but now that I see my future declining I realized if you can't take me over someone else now I doubt you will in the future since I'm not getting any better and I love you with everything now so I won't have more to give - Tin Champion
TIn Champion: No one likes to hear sad stories, but those are the only ones I have. I don’t have fairytales or mighty conquests. I do have hope. I live on that.
I won’t settle anymore though, I’m tired of that. I’m sick of second best and less. I won’t have it anymore. I will change my skin if I have to because the one I am wearing doesn’t cut it. I hope this will work. I don’t know what will if this doesn’t. I guess I will give up if it doesn’t.

Their timeline (still a thought)

one

she held the hammer that once shattered the pavement I walked on

two

she holds the pen that wrote the letters that shape my world

three

she will hold the rope that sounds the bells to my wedding or funeral

one

He saw the scars on my skin

two

he feels my world come to life

three

he will hear the echoes of my wedding

one

We found remains on the floor boards

two

We watch the art come to life

three

Our tale will end

What have we learned at the end of the day?

After spending years in school
What have we learned
We learned the red means stop and green means go
We learned that peanutbutter and jelly is a genius mixture of chemicals
We learned that 1 +1 = 2 unless you are being a wise man and say a window in which case you are right as long as you are in philosophy and not in math.
We learned that books are windows of opportunity... when we do manage to read them
We learned that birds and bees are very promiscuous creatures
We learned that we all like, love and suffer from broken hearts,
We also learned "c'est pas grave" it's never as bad as it seems in the moment and we can also all get over it
We learned we aren't actually as fragile as we think, bone isn't as strong as stone but it's pretty tough
We learned smoking makes you look cool but it kills you so it's usually not worth the 20 seconds of fame but fuck it, it's addictive
We learned friends make great enemies and no one is perfect,
We learn we are all a bunch of randomly made and selected misfits finding ourselves
And these are some of the greatest years and memories we will ever have

I used to dream in infinite

I then learned structure

We compromised our dreams with reality
now we live it

Bright lights and Dark Thoughts - Solomzi Moleketi

The Bright lights and Dark thoughts alternated like sun and moon

They sometimes shifted in uneven degrees which left a Purgatory like state

there was a single entity in the desert

She walked barefoot

On the sands of suppressed sadness

The heat came in like endless waves at high tide

there was no room for life

but she marched on

wearing a dress held together by a bow and smile

she was smiling not sweating

The empty dunes seemed to be endless and were constantly altered by the winds of regret from the south and forget from the north

they met beside her creating riptides in the sands which threatened her with pearly white smiles

Despite her constantly changing surrounding

she did not get lost

she was given direction by a single question

“Who are you?”
